A Public Diary…
I’ve long contemplated how to approach this; leave it to me to totally overthink 🥴 lol. There is a lot of opinion and selling in the social space currently. I’ll admit I fell victim to taking the advise of multiple social media accounts on needing to “niche down” and provide certain things. I tried it, but it wasn’t natural for me and ultimately made me back away from this. After some reflection on what it is I truly want I’ve decided to throw all that feedback away and just BE ME. After all, that is why I wanted to do this in the first place. FOR FUN.
I originally had a blog site back in 2015 before all these rules came into play and that is ideally what I want to resurface. A place I enjoy spending time and energy, a place I feel comfortable sharing to hopefully help or entertain others, and a place that doesn’t feel overwhelming. So, here I am kicking off my first blog post to introduce myself and what to expect out of this site & social account if you choose to follow.
This space will honestly be a hodge podge of life. Think of your personal diary…you could be your authentic self 100% of the time. Divulge the good, bad, and ugly as you would to a true bestie. No restrictions, just whatever was on your mind or impacting your life in that moment. This will be like that, but with the potential of actually building relationships, a community, and helping others along the way.
Here’s a little about me and what you can expect to hear about:
➡️I LOVE to cook.
➡️I am 100% Gluten Free due to Celiac Disease.
➡️I am a Diabetic, Type 1, from a rare form of diabetes known as L.A.D.A. (latent autoimmune diabetes in adults).
➡️I am a wife to a Frenchmen.
➡️I am a mother to two crazy little half Frenchmen.
➡️I am a former executive for a large, well-known brand where I spent 17 years until I walked away in 2022 for my health and well-being.
➡️Our families life has been flipped upside down over the last 2 years and we are still in the process of figuring it out.
➡️I have struggled with eating disorders my entire life, 14 to 25 being the hardest for me, but still an everyday internal battle.
➡️I am reproductively challenged due to multiple conditions that impacted our ability to conceive completely naturally.
➡️My Celiac & Diabetes surfaced as a result of my pregnancies and has been a major life learning curve over the last 4 years.
See……hodge podge! We will have so much to share with each other and I for one cannot wait. Stay tuned for my first official blog post. HINT - it’s about work 😉
A biento!
